Note: The listed coordinates is the entrance to the park, not the final location. You will need to find all 8 legs of the spider to determine the body's final resting place.
This is the final cache. There are 8 legs (micro caches) hidden on 8 different hiking trails within McDowell Nature Preserve. The bottom of each cache container has a number etched on it which will be needed to find the spiders body (final cache).
NOTE: This series will only be available until Summer 2011 when I will take it down to make room for new caches in McDowell.

Eight Legged Freaks is a 2002 horror/comedy film directed by Ellory Elkayem and stars David Arquette, Kari Wührer, Scarlett Johansson and Doug E. Doug. The plot concerns a collection of spiders that are exposed to nuclear waste, causing them to grow to gigantic proportions.
Welcome to the final of “8 Legged Freak”!
There are 8 legs (micro caches) hidden on 8 different hiking trails within McDowell Nature Preserve. The bottom of each cache container has a number etched on it which will be needed to find the spiders body (final cache).
This cache series was inspired by my families love for the movie “Eight Legged Freaks”, as well as all horror movies everywhere.
First to find gets a copy of the movie on DVD! (PG-13)
The initial cache contents include all kinds of spiders (plastic) as well as an assortment of old horror movies I picked up at the dollar store and other locations. Please 1 movie per visitor and try to trade keeping the horror movie theme in mind.
Please include in the log how much time it took you to beat the “Freak”!
