Film canister, BYOP. This one is not too difficult, just to take you to a place you would probably never stop and see. There is a small area for parking off the highway.
How did this town get its name you ask. I'm sure much thought went into it. If you look south up into the hills, you will see,......hey wait, what are those large things on the top of the mountain......oh, 3 rocks. Well there ya go, the town's name.
The legend is that bandit Joaquin Figueroa and 3 Fingered Jack stayed here for a few days, before he rode up the Diablo Mountain Range, to the area of the 3 large rocks on the peak, where he hid his loot.
Another place to stop and stretch you legs along Hwy 33. There are no services here. Don't blink because you will miss it this town of 108.
**Please be careful pulling back onto the Highway. The cars and trucks drive by here fast. There is a small blind rise in the road to the south, difficult to see on coming northbound traffic.**
