The Monk is dead, long live the Monk. This cache replaces the "A Monks Treasure" puzzle cache with a traditional cache in the same location so more people can enjoy this little known trail.
If you have already solved the "A Monks Treasure" puzzle and found that cache, then you already know how to get to this one.
For those of you who have not been on this trail, start at the parking coordinates shown below. Follow the trail to the top of the ridge. This is the only tricky part of the hike. Approximately 100 to 200 feet from where the trail tops the ridge there is a trail which goes down to the valley on the other side. Sometimes when the grass is tall it is easy to miss the turnoff but once you find the trail it is easy to follow. When you get to the bottom of the valley it is best not to blindly follow the needle. Explore a little bit to find the easy way. It's all in the name. You will know it when you see it.
Please don't do any damage to the area and put everything back the way you found it.
