We found our first cache a year ago on the 14th
of September 2008, this cache is an excuse to celebrate that... It
is placed close to the top-end of Dorpstraat, one of the tourist
hot-spots and most photogenic areas in Stellenbosch. Or if you
prefer you can stroll down the Eersterivier and through the quiet,
leafy avenues away from the hustle and bustle. So, even if
you’re a local, park far away from the cache and amble over
there - take a few pictures, have something to eat in one of the
many cafes around here and celebrate the fact that caching got you
here!
This cache has become somewhat of a duel between me and the
muggles who keep on stealing it, but I'm not about to give up! This
is the 3rd different type of hide I'm trying and the fifth
replacement. It is easily accessible from the bridge, which
should make the retrieval, signing of the log and replacement easy
and inconspicuous. PLEASE make sure no malicious eyes are
watching you when you search for this one. It's well camouflaged
and kept in position with 2 magnets - a gentle, constant pull will
get it in hand. It fits very snugly so make sure you replace it
well and please don't drop it in the water!
