Кешът е скрит извън самата църква и двора на църквата. Много близо е до портата на двора от страната на стълбите. Необходимо е да сте изключително внимателни, когато опитвате да вземете или върнете кеша - има много хора наоколо. Също така се уверете, че сте скрили кеша правилно. Внимавайте да не ви видят.

Историческа информация

Църквата "Успение на Пресвета Богородица" е една от най-старите църкви на Трихълмието в Пловдив. Според сведенията на Никита Хониат, управител на Пловдивска област в периода 1188-1189, по времето на Пловдивския митрополит Константин Пантехни е построена нова църква в чест на светеца покровител на града. Връщането към християнската вяра от многобройните еретици, живеещи в Пловдив по това време, в резултат на активната работа на епископ Константин, налага изграждането на голяма базилика с пищна вътрешна украса. В последствие до цълквата е възникнал и манастир, който е бил разрушен през 14-ти век по време на Османската инвазия в Пловдив.
Когато Стефан Герлах посещава Пловдив през 1578 година той вижда на Трихълмието няколко стари църкви със стенописи, които са все още видими, въпреки порутените сгради. В нарастващата икономическа мощ на Пловдивските християни по време на 19-ти век им дава възможност да се погрижат за старите храмове. През 1844 г. на мястото на старата църква е изградена голяма трикорабна псевдобазилика от Бразиговски майстори. Нейни ктитори станали Вълко и Стоян Чалъкови, бегликчии от Копривщица, който се установяват в Пловдив в началото на 19 век. Иконостасът е направен от двама братя от Дебър, Андон и Димитър Станишеви. Повечето икони са рисувани от Никола иконописец на Одрин.
До 1859 г. службите в църквата все още са били провеждани на гръцки. През 1860 г. митрополит Паисий е първият да отслужи светата литургия на Български език. След създаването на Българската екзархия през 1872 г., първият български владика метрополит Панарет, е посрещнат на това място.
След Освобождението на България на западният вход на катедралата е построена камбанария, проектирана от архитект Йосиф Шнитер, в стил класицизъм, който е много модерен в Русия по това време. На фасадата е поставен благодарствен надпис, посветен на руските войски.
От източната страна на църквата има стари гробища, където са погребани епископите на Пловдив, Панарет, Натаниел и Максим, както и изтъкнати граждани и възрожденци, като Йоаким Груев, Стоян Чалуков, Христо Г. Данов и др.

The cache is hidden outside the church itself and the church's yard. It's very near the yard's side gate next to the stairs. Extreme STEALTH is required - there are a lot of people around. Also make sure to re-hide properly the cache, the way it was, after you're done. Be careful not to be seen.

Historical Info

“The Assumption of the Holy Virgin” Church is one of the oldest churches on the Hills in Plovdiv. According to Niketas Choniates, Governor of the Plovdiv District in 1188-1189 during the time of the Bishop of Plovdiv Constantine Panthechnis, a new church was built in honor of the city's patron saint. The return to the Christian faith of the numerous heretics living in Plovdiv, resulting from the active work of Bishop Constantine, necessitated the construction a large basilica with lavish interior decoration. It was probably erected on the site of an older temple. A monastery was built around the church, but later demolished after the 14th century Ottoman invasion of Plovdiv.
When Stefan Gerlach visited Plovdiv in 1578 he saw a few churches on the Three Hills with murals still visible despite the damage to the buildings. The rising economic power of the Plovdiv Christian community during the 19th century made it possible for the citizens to take care of the old churches. In 1844 the old church standing here was replaced by a large three-nave pseudobasilica, made by builders from Bratsigovo. The church donors were Vulko Tchalukov and Stoyan Tchalukov, tax collectors from Koprivshtitsa, who settled in Plovdiv in the early 19th century. The iconostasis was made by two brothers from Debar, Andon and Dimitar Stanishev. Most icons were painted by the icon painter Nikola of Edirne.
By 1859 the church services were still conducted in Greek. In 1860 Bishop Paisius was the first one to serve the holy liturgy in Bulgarian. Following the establishment of the Bulgarian Exarchate in 1872, the first Bulgarian Bishop, Panareth, was welcomed here. After the Liberation of Bulgaria a belfry was designed and built by the architect Joseph Schnitter at the western door of the cathedral, in the Classicist style that was quite fashionable in Russia at the time. An inscription was placed at the facade as an acknowledgement to the Russian troops that liberated Bulgaria.
To the east of the church there is an old graveyard where the Bishops of Plovdiv, Panareth, Nathaniel and Maxim, were buried. Eminent citizens and National Revival period and figures, such as Yoakim Gruev, Stoyan Tchalukov, Hristo G. Danov, etc., were also buried there.
