Geocache Description:

Welcome to a genuine ghost town right in our own back yard. We stumbled upon these remains a few years ago. It's an amazing spot to visit, just keep your eyes peeled for the former inhabitants :-o
The posted coordinates will take you to a foundation where you will find a letter, do a little math, and take a nice stroll to the final. The trick may be getting there. We suggest parking on York Road, taking the trail up the escarpment towards the Bruce, and following the GPS from there.

THERE IS NO NEED TO SEARCH THROUGH THE FOUNDATION FOR ANYTHING!
At the posted coordinates, you will be standing in the doorway of Joseph Balls former home. His name is still clearly visible just around the corner on the ouside wall. This area was a settlement village for quarry workers which existed as recently as the early 1960's. As you can see some of the original foundations of 14 homes, built in 1897 to house quarry workers still exist here today.
There is a single letter etched into the limestone at the posted coordinates. Turn this letter into a number (A=1, B=2, etc.) and add it to 121. Now take that total and double it. You should be left with the final 3 digits for BOTH the North AND the West coordinates to the final.
N 43 09.XXX
W079 05.XXX
As ever, we hope you enjoy this area as much as we do!
Happy cachin' :ox
