Geocache Description:

Do trees with cavities suffer while waiting for the dentist? This is a bad one right between two tall teeth.

This cache is placed at the northernmost end of the Chehalis Western Trail.  From here you can bike 22 miles south to the Yelm to Tenino Trail.

You can continue farther out to the water on a walking-only trail either from this spot or across the water on the Woodard Bay trail.

The historic Weyerhaeuser-owned Chehalis Western Railroad, which operated from 1926 through the mid-1980's, has now become the Chehalis Western Trail.  The trail runs north-south through the heart of Thurston County and links up with the County-owned 14.5-mile Yelm to Tenino Trail. It passes through a variety of ecosystems and environments in both the urban and rural areas of the County. It provides access to over 170-acres of park land including nearly two (2) miles of frontage along the Deschutes River, and features access to the Puget Sound, Chambers Lake, wetlands, forests, farmland, creeks, prairies, and other habitats.

There are mileage markers every 1/2 mile along the Chehalis Western Trail, beginning at the northern portion of the Trail, Woodard Bay, which is owned and operated by the Department of Natural Resources. Thurston County's portion starts at mile marker 6.5 at the Chambers Lake Trailhead on 14th Avenue.

Take a bike with you and go for a ride after finding this cache.  Just walking is great as well.
