This does involve a scramble down the bank
A pleasant wander along the Rochdale canal will bring you to the cache
site. There is a picnic area close by with a wooden sculpture,
unfortunately the sculpture has been vandalised and the picnic area
seems to be sponsored by Foster and Stella.
Please don't let that put you off, the rest of the area is pleasant.
So close to the road but such a quiet place (apart from bird song).
The cache is approximatley 2l and when placed had a fair few goodies in
it. It is inside a cammo bag.
The cache is within 10ft of the towpath
Don't fancy much of a walk, then it is possible to drive
quite close by though I have no idea what the parking is like, you
could cycle here or even come by boat (there are boat hire places in
Sowerby and Hebden.
