Geocache Description:

PLEASE REMEMBER CACHE IN AND TRASH OUT

I was a member of the Quimby Fire Department for many years and have many enjoyable
memories of that experience , as well as some sad ones. Quimby has one of the best
departments I have seen in respect to the size of the town. Much credit goes to the present
Fire Chief, who has been chief over 30 years and is still quite active. He looks to the
future and doesn’t dwell on the way things were.

The cache is pretty straight forward, nothing unusual. The miniature buildings are replicas
of some original buildings in town. They were built for the Quimby centennial back in 1987.
The yellow building is a replica of the original depot, which stood in this approximate
location and the white building is a replica of the original school house which was
located in the present day city park. The bell is the original fire bell for the city.
As with all small town there will be eyes watching you so use as much stealth as
you can. I have permission to place this cache. You are looking for a magnetic keyholder.
