Shuswap - Squilax General Store Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: As the cache was removed by the property owner and the cache owner has not responded to a reviewer note regarding archival of the cache, I am archiving it to remove it from the active database so that other cachers don't continue to visit the site and upset the property owner.

Thank you.

Geocache Description:

This historic brick building on the Trans-Canada is home to a colony of Yuma bats that relocated when their previous home, the Squilax Church burnt down.

Use caution when accessing the parking as it is located at a curve on the busy Trans-Canada Highway. It is best approached travelling Westbound.

Just West of this location is the Squilax bridge which crosses Little River and leads to the North Shuswap.

There is a stamp exchange in this cache for those interested in philately. There is an envelope for Canadian Stamps and another for International Stamps.

When visitng this cache please donate any interesting stamps that you collect. Keep the part of the envelope with the post mark on it as this is of interest to collectors. Extra stamps will be donated to programs that raise money for charities.
