located on the old linlithgow road
The trading stone (Packman stone) locally known is situated on this
old road ,which had been used for centuries by the drovers herding
there cattle from the tryst at larbet in falkirk
to there final destination in the beef markets in london.
and also used by the salters from boness who transported there
vital product to inland towns such as lanark.
the stone became well known as a welcome resting area where they
used to trade items while they rested on there long journey's , if you want to see the stone it is a short walk up the road 5 minutes N55 54.590 W003 41.261
the cache is a, small tub big enough for log book only
parking is available at GZ
