*** THIS CACHE HAS
NOTHING TO DO WITH LAMPOSTS ***
Earlier this summer I purchased a kilt at a fund raising auction
at Celebrate Summer 2009 in Huntsville, Alabama. My original
intention was to place the kilt in a cache and "request" that
finders post their picture wearing it while signing the log.
Instead I found that I enjoy wearing it myself, to the extent that
I own several now. So instead of leaving it in a cache, I decided
to hide this cache while wearing it.
(Wikipedia) The kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats at the
rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the
Scottish Highlands of the 16th century. Since the 19th century it
has been associated with the wider culture of Scotland in general,
or with Celtic (and more specifically Gaelic) heritage elsewhere.
It is most often made of woolen cloth in a tartan pattern.
Though the Scottish kilt is most often worn mainly on formal
occasions or at Highland Games and sports events, it has also been
adapted as an item of fashionable informal, and formal, male
clothing in recent years.
The cache is a lock n lock container with a logbook and a few
trinkets to start it off hidden in the usual way very near to some
beautiful scenery. This area is becoming one of my favorite places
to come and relax and enjoy nature. I think I saw a ba-zillion deer
while out here today.
Additional logging "request".... Although not necessary, why not
keep in the spirit of the cache and come find this one in something
other than your normal caching attire and post a picture with your
log. While a kilt would be preferable, it doesn't have to be. It
could be lederhosen, a dashiki, a tuxedo, a tutu.... your
choice!!
