They call it the Magrath House but our first mayor only lived there a short time.
"Anybody who was anybody" in the early part of the last century would love to be invited to a party at this house featured at this turnaround. Charles Conybeare, a lawyer, had a huge lot and garden parties of the day were by invitation only to the social elite of the community.
By the 1940s this magnificent home had been subdivided into apartments but was revitalized decades later. A better view of the original look can be found from the alley which of course if you had visited years ago would have been a lavish garden.
