Geocache Description:

Just a bit off of Rt. 80, this Travel Bug Hotel hopes to serve as a place for travel bugs and geocoins to stop for a brief respite and to pick up a new host who will take them to exciting new places.

Please trade one in for everyone you take so there will be a constant supply.

The parking coordinates guide you to the northern portal of the J. Manley Robins trail which runs through the Hess Recreation Area near Danville. The cache itself is an ammo box located about .1 mile from the parking area and is about 15 feet off the side of the trail. Terrain rating is simply because of the length of the walk (which can be accomplished with your shoes on and your feet dry ;-). If you have some time, you may want to enjoy the the rest of the trail and several other geocaches along the way. Or, you may just want a relatively quick stop from your travels along Rt. 80 to grab a quick cache and to swap trackables. Let's keep the coins in the game!!!

Maintained by the Montour Area Recreation Commission (visit link) the J. Manley Robbins trail is reported to be the oldest "rails to trails" recreational facility in the country. See the history at their website (visit link)

Many thanks to the Montour County Recreation Commission for allowing me to create this find. The park is supposedly open only dawn to dusk, but respectful usage after hours doesn't seem to be discouraged.

Congratulations to Joe & Jeni for the FTF done the hard way - with wet feet (which included a prize of a Crake TB - American flag).
