Geocache Description:

Moyai at Kamata

Moyai is not Moai of Easter Island, monolithic human figures carved from rock.
Moyai means "Help each other" at Niijima Island Japan.
Some Moyai were awarded several district of Japan.
Most famous one is at Shibuya Station, but there is at the East of Kamata Station.

「もやい像」は石づくりの像です(イースター島の「モアイ像」ではありません)。
「もやい」とは、伊豆諸島の新島地方の言葉で「助け合い」を意味しており、新島原産の石で作られた「もやい像」が日本の各地にいくつか贈られました。もっとも有名なものは渋谷駅にありますが、ここ蒲田駅の東口にもあります。
新島・式根島のCITOイベントの成功を記念して、もやい像にキャッシュを新設します。
