Now you know why they still sometimes have water problems in this area.



This is one of my favorite pictures of early Lethbridge. It was taken from a large water tower at the intersection of 5 Ave S. and 9th Street S. (between the library and the RCMP building. You are looking north and a little east.

The lake (rather slough) is near the Canadian Tire shopping mall. The man and his dog are in front of today’s city hall. The slough filled from 11th to 13th Streets North and and 2nd to 4th Avenues North.

Now dive in and find the container with the log book.
