After speaking with many of our fellow geocachers, it seems that there are lots of local cachers that are sort of tired of all the park within 20 feet of the cache urban hides as well as the all of the local puzzle caches in the area that I hear have been placed on their ignore lists. We're not saying anything negative about these caches, we've found lots of them ourselves.
So this cache has been placed for all of you who want to get back on a trail, into the woods, and find an ammo can where you can find some trade items.
This cache is placed on the mile long blue blazed nature trail loop just on the outskirts of the soccer fields. We hope you enjoy the hike! The trail loop starts/ends right near the entrance to the park (kiosk is on the left). Parking is available between the entrance and exit roads.
Dogs are allowed on the trail if they are kept on a leash and if you clean up after them.
Hunting is NOT allowed in the park, so this SHOULD be safe during hunting season. You should, of course, take appropriate caution just in case, as hunting used to be allowed here.
The park is open from dawn to dusk.
