Cache is on a hillside, logged long ago, with a beautiful view of Lake Roosevelt and the twin islands (at times). It is just a short walk on an old road bed, now littered
with forest debris. Altitude is about 2614', and if you are leaving Fire Dist. 6, you have gone too far.
The scene from our cache during the summer months is a magnificent view of Lake Roosevelt with twin islands. At other times, due to the water drawdown, the islands are not visible, therefore, defined as "disappearing". To get to the cache from Kettle Falls WA, go south on Hwy. 25 and exit to the left on Ricky Canyon Rd. Follow your coordinates from there to the cache.
The cache is in a red candy tin and includes candy cane eraser, green mini toy military tank, an angel on top of a flattened penny, a pedometer, a glue stick, a clothes pin clip, butterfly dangle, shuttle pin, binder clip, fossilized rock,
log book, pen and pencil.
GeoCoin Lam's Deer PCR7A1 has been added to this cache...it's mission is simply
to travel. I picked him up in Sequim WA and he would like to travel south...
