This cache is a short walk from the former Muirdale Tuberculosis Sanitorium, used in the early 1900's for treatment of tuberculosis. You'll also see what look like Indian burial mounds directly in front of the parking coordinates. Some say the building was built on burial grounds so the 5th floor is now haunted. But according to the land manager, the mounds are just berms left over from putting in the parking lot, a more likely explanation, if not nearly as interesting.
The building is now home to the "Technology Innovation Center", part of the Milwaukee County Research Park. It's specific use is to give high-tech startup companies a home. The companies are high-tech, but the building itself is still pretty low-tech. Inside it still looks like an old hospital, complete with call buttons, radiator heat, and non-functioning bathtubs in the bathrooms.
Visitor parking is available at the coordinates below. If you're staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, it's just a short walk down the path.
Should be a relatively easy find, although could be tough in the winter. This is a small cache so I don't really intend it to be a "TB Hotel", but small TB's and geocoins are certainly welcome if they fit.
