I have wanted to hide a Travel Bug Hotel for a while but could never find a place I thought was good enough. Then I asked my friend Sema if I could hide one at her place and she was very happy and excited about the idea. So here it is. Welcome to Sema’s Travel Bug Hotel and Cafe. This intersection at Highway 900 and 164th Ave SE between Renton and Issaquah is easy to get to from anywhere on the eastside. I would call this a 5-star hotel even though it is not a large hotel.
The cache box is an 8” long x 5” wide x 4” deep “lock-n-lock” container. Original cache contents include English/Spanish geocaching note, logbook, 3 pens, 5 geocoins, 6 travel bugs with hitchhikers, a First-to-Find gift, and a small token The Seattle Kid threw in at the last minute. All that is needed is the willing geocacher who wants to come pick them up and send them traveling.
I have rated this as a 2 difficulty only because of the camo hiding the lock-and-lock cache container. Wheelchair accessible with assistance. It really is not difficult if you use your geosense and REMEMBER that the camo is really intended to prevent the cache box from accidentally being noticed by muggles and is not really intended to hide the cache box from geocachers. If you are a geocacher you have seen this type of camo before.
NECESSARY NOTE: This is placed here by permission of, and named after, the owner of the property.
Please keep Travel Bugs and Geocoins on their journeys, even if you have no items to trade.
MUGGLE NOTE: Because of the many muggles coming and going, and because you will probably spot this from your car before even looking for it, it's probably easiest to grab it and search through it while sitting in your car. The employees may want to play "hot and cold" with you though.
