Decided today was a good day to follow through on my promise for another cache higher up the Ptarmigan Valley trail and I was right!! About half way up the sun started to break through the clouds and by the time I was at the cache sight it was full force! The fall colors were phenominal with the hillsides and valleys painted in reds, orange, yellows and greens....a gorgeous fall afternoon! Before you make your final ascent to the cache sight you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the inlet as well as the mountain sides further down the valley. I imagine the view is equally impressive in all seasons. Enjoy!!
