Under, but not too far under. Although I have marked it as a 2 for terrain, this is only the last little bit - the rest is a pathway popular with muggles for walking, bike riding along the rivers edge.
Have left a Geocaching iron on transfer for first to find.
This is one of Tumut's beautiful landmarks, recently closed to vehicle traffic after many years of locals pushing to keep it open. Has been photographed and painted by many people over the years. In days gone past, when there was more water in the Tumut River, a popular spot for fishing.
Lots of easy parking, take extra time to have a walk along the river, pack a picnic, there are lots of great places to stop. I know of about 6 great caches all within walking distance from here, so if you are not local, bring your tent - the caravan park is just 2 mins away.
Make sure you hide it well when you are done - lots of muggles about on a sunny day.
