This is not a cache for those who are afraid of heights. The terrain can be very challenging at times. The trail that is taken to get to this cache is on an a very steep grade, but is gravel and clear of any brush. Beseck Mountain - Summit elevation approx. 840 ft.
This hike will take you up Beseck Mountain. (The backside of Powder Ridge). The Wallingford Land Trust is active about the conservation of this land and the trail is well marked. This hike is about 1 - 1.5 miles distance. Park on Cliffside Drive in Wallingford CT. The sign for the trail head is located right at the road and you can park right there. Take the trail heading North, Northeast. It will seem like you are walking away from your cache, but that is the only trail to get to the top. Once at the top you quickly find that you can head Southeast on a trail toward the cache. This is a very scenic area with some great lookouts of Wallingford. Have fun and good luck.
