Geocache Description:

The White Hole January 2009

Between Krabi and Ao Nang you can see the probably largest natural arch in Thailand (may be there are only 3 natural arches in Thailand). It is located only 9 km from Susaan Hoi Fossil Shell Beach, and therefore you will also find some fossil sea shells at the East side. The span is 52.1 m (171 feet).

From the film "Rescue Dawn" (2006)

By GPS it should be easy to find the place, but it can be difficult to find the cache. The signals from the satellites may be blocked due to the limestonecliff and rubber trees. Therefore also use the photo spoiler.

Warning: Don’t be at the area after darkness, and also tell family and friends where you are going, as it is an uninhabited place.

You can read more about natural arches at: naturalarches.org

Driving direction:

Use road 4034. Close to Wat Sai Thai (between Pearl Island and Reclining Buddha Image) you will find Saithaipattana Rd.1. Use this road and go to position N08 05.951  E 098 51.999. From this position turn right. If you are coming by car, you can park at position N08 05.965 E 098 52.169 and from here you can see “The White Hole”

Then you can walk or if you are coming by mc you can continue to the path (N08 06.001 E098 52.184) in the palm oil tree plantation.

Bring a pencil with you. The cache is a logscroll.

Enjoy the nature with the ones you love. There are many beautifull areas in this plantation.
