Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a small settlement of Tokomaru which is South of Palmerston North on SH57.

Tokomaru, named after one of the fleet canoes was established in 1886 when the Wellington - Manawatu Railway Company was built. The line opened up the heavily forested and swampy land and allowed for the development of areas such Tokomaru and Linton.

At GZ you are at the Horowhenua section of the heritage trail which begins here in Tokomaru and follows Makerua Road SH57 to Shannon, across the Shannon - Foxton Road to Foxton where the trail process along SH1 to Waitarere, Levin Ohau and Manakau.

The cache is a film canister container containing a logbook only so you will need to bring your own writing instrument.

Please NOTE that you must sign the logbook for each individual cachers or proof of a photo for group logs, otherwise your log may be deleted.

Please hide the cache exactly how you found it as we dont really want it to get muggled as this can be a HIGH MUGGLE area
