Cache placed as part of the activity program for 10th Kendal Cubs annual camp back in 2009. There is a new Sculpture, as yet looking a bit unfinished, which I think is about the canal footpath which is just up the steps by here. Looks like room for an information board.
When we originally placed the Levens left bank series I mentioned the "motorway" which was planned to cut through the avenue of trees in Levens park. This is what became of that displaced road.
The contrast between this raucous roar and the serenity of the Avenue only a few yards distant is startling.
This micro fills a gap making the left and right bank caches a nice circular walk with a dozen or so caches bag-able in an afternoons gentle amble. Or even more if you want to push on further!
However the "paddle and walk #2" needs some preparation if you want to include it!
