Geocache Description:

The Ohio Pass Road is a dirt Forest Service road which is a continuation of County Road #730, and is driveable by car. Cache is along the roadside. Find a place to park and walk to it. Elevation of cache: 9750'

This cache site offers a picturesque view of the "Castles" and Anthracite Falls. BEAUTIFUL SPOT FOR THE FALL COLORS! BYO Pen!

The Castles are composed of West Elk Breccia, and are erosion remnants of ancient volcanic mud and debris flows from the extinct West Elk Volcano. The center of the volcano was approximately 10 miles to the southwest of this viewpoint. The Anthracite Falls spill over granite cliffs in the Anthracite Range. The falls are spectacular in the spring and early summer, but are dry in the fall and winter. The old South Park Line railroad grade of the 1800's is up the cliff above the cache site, but is not visible from this particular spot.

The cache container is a clear plastic box with a blue rim. BYOP!!! Log only. No room for trade items. This is a high muggle area and not a safe place for travel bugs!
