Located in Royalton Township Bicentennial Park, Saint Joseph, MI at
the corner of John Beers Road and Scottsdale.
Park is open Sun-up to Sundown. No Night Time Caching!
Park ammenities include:
Pavillion/Shelter
Grills
Picnic Tables
Playground Equipment
...and some REALLY NEAT swings near the cache site
location!
This park was initially built in 1976 with much help of my brother,
myself, and many other boyscouts from Troop 607 as part of my
brother's Eagle Scout Project.
I became an Eagle Scout myself, and enjoy helping others accomplish
this prestigious and difficult task. Last I read, only 1 in 100
make it to this level, and I am happy to help and share my
experiences to help others achieve this milestone.
We worked countless hours during our summer vacation building a
park the community could enjoy.
This Park is still in service, and Troop 607 built the entire
park!
Pavillion, building, everything.... It is nice when people get
together and work to a common goal...
So I had Louie Eisnenhart as my Scout Master who lived right near
E.P. Clarke School and believe his son lives next door
today...
Louie made me into a man, and I can not thank him enough for all
his time and energy he spent helping young boys/men like me become
real men and teaching me I can do anything, no matter how
difficult, if I simple focused and wanted it....
It was huge, and becoming an Eagle Scout, led to US Patent, and
many other great acomplishments...
Sadly, he passed away before I realized how much he helped me and
had a chance to tell him.
Drove by the park today, and decided to place a cache to bring
others to this park.
Cache is a small cameo cylindrical container. There may be room for
a geocoin, but not much else.
Precise coords were difficult to obtain due to the location of the
cache, but I took coords multiple times with my GPS, and these seem
to be the best ones.
It should get you pretty close.
Then ask yourself, where would the PUNK hide this?
This should be a FUN cache!
Watch out for muggles.
