Mattison Hollow Trail Traditional Cache

1 mile fairly easy hike past an old charcoal pit site, and a small waterfall. Family friendly, but not with a stroller as mud and streams will be hard.
This trailhead (N 43* 38.339’ W 74* 19.873’) is about 1.5 miles up Mattison Hollow Rd in Cherry Plain NY.
This is a marked NY DEC trail that connects to the Taconic crest trail at the summit and then continues down into MA on the other side of the range.
This Cache is nowhere near the summit, there are no great views but it's a nice walk along a stream with a small waterfall and I believe we found an old charcoal pit site at coordinates (N 42* 38.413’ W 73* 19.523’). If you look around this location you will see burnt bricks, the ground is black and some charcoal can still be found around.
I took the coordinates when there was still tree growth interfering with my GPS. I took seven readings and averaged the results, I hope that with the clue the cache can be found.
This Cache contains only a few items, and is a baby of 'the mother of all caches' in Pittsfield state forest. It took me over two years, but I finally set it free.
