Geocache Description:

A regular size cache located in the Meshomasic State Forest.

This cache is located in the Meshomasic State Forest, which covers approximately 9,000 acres in the towns of East Hampton, Glastonbury, Hebron, Marlborough and Portland. There is an extensive and diverse trail system as well as 8 miles of gravel roads that is used by mountain bikers, hikers and hunters.

The area is also known for having the largest population of timber rattlesnakes in the state of Connecticut, so please take appropriate caution. Hunting is also very popular here, so be sure to wear your blaze orange.
