This is on a short river walk which is accessed from the visitor centre at Logie Steading. The path is suitable for buggies, though there is a short scramble of a few metres to get to the cache.
The cache is a camo container which, to start off with, contains a logbook, pencil, a few swaps, a FTF prize, and a geocoin and TB.
Parking is at the visitors centre, where there are various craft shops, a second hand book store, a garden store and a cafe which we can highly recommend. There are picnic benches in the courtyard so you can take your dogs and eat food from the cafe.
There is also a great swing park for the kids just at the start of the walk.
The walk up to the cache is fine for kids and dogs. It does carry on to become a circular walk, with great views over the River Findhorn. However, care neds to be taken on the steeper paths down to the river.
This spot is not far from Randolph's Leap, where we have another couple of caches. You can walk on the paths between Logie Steading and Randolphs Leap, though there is a short section on the road. This would be just over an hour's round walk to complete the circular walk. The codes for the other caches at Randolphs Leap are GC1TG0H and GC1VC95.
Good Luck.
***** Well done TheBorderTerriers on their first FTF *****
