Geocache Description:

NOTE: THIS CACHE CAN ONLY BE COMPLETED
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 0900-1800HRS

This is a micro cache the co-ordinates given are for the suggested parking place at Tape Street Car Park, Cheadle, Staffordshire

• Start point; find the Armillary Sphere located in the car park. find out what event the Sphere was erected for, this figure is A
• Now walk up the car park towards Barclays Bank and along Greyhound Walk, once on the High Street turn left and head for the Market Cross Shaft. Once there look for “The Summer House” there you will find two numbers these are B and C
• From the vantage point of the Market Cross Shaft looking West you should see the Tudor Tea Rooms (nice spot for a cuppa) here you’ll find a number on their door discard the tens, this is D

Stage 1:-

GPS time now :- N 52.59.(B – 4) 0 ( A+5 ) W 001.59.( C + 1 ) ( D ) 2

• At the obelisk of Lt John Candlish Allen, now with your back to the West door, follow the footpath (there is no need to leave the footpaths) down the hill to the water point and turn right, then take your next left, up the hill to find the resting place of O/Cdt Reynolds and write down his age as this is E.
• Continue up the hill and turn left to face Abraham Day, follow this path to yet another water point and turn left, stop here and look for Gunner Potts and note how old he was, this is F
• Time to move on, down the tree lined path through the gateway in the wall and take your next right, to where you will find Pte Stone, his age is G.
• Go back past the obelisk of Lt Allen and down the tree line avenue towards the High Street, at the bottom of the steps look to your right to view the drinking fountain, how many drinking bowls are there, this is H
• Follow the road past The Talbot on your left with the vets on your right, look for the Ex – serviceman’s Club which in now Bar? This is J.

Now go to the following co-ordinates to find the last digit for the final cache:
