Geocache Description:


Carlton Husthwaite, the sister village of Husthwaite is situated on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Moors, 5 miles south of Thirsk and 20 miles north of York.

Just one mile off the main a19 trunk road and 10 miles from the main a1 motorway link.

The village is surrounded by working farmland, with all the farmers and their families playing a big part in village life with St Marys Church & the Carlton Bore Pub & Restaurant.

It has a population according to the 2001 census of 167.

The village was listed in the Domesday book.

The cache is located along a pretty little bridleway between the two villages.

Parking is available at N 54' 10.977 W 001' 13.668
