Geocache Description:

The starting point for this cache is located at the Pillar Lake Rec Site along the Chase Falkland Rd. There is a 25min hike up a steep rocky trail. Not recommended in poor weather conditions.

This is a two part multi-cache with the first stage being a micro that contains the coordinates to your final destination. The final cache is a camo lock n lock container in a garbage bag.

Pillar Lake is named after a natural pillar that stands about 90ft tall. This hoodoo is mind boggling. On top of the pillar is an 8 ton boulder. This boulder is called a caprock, and without it this natural wonder would not exist. The caprock acts like a roof protecting the pillar’s structure from the earths natural erosion.

Please be careful along the path and watch for falling rocks. Enjoy the view!
