Stones & Stumps 17 - Ford Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

martlakes: These have had a good run, but we're trying to reduce the number of caches we have out and need to maintain. Don't come this way quite so often either.
Thanks for all those who visited and enjoyed the pleasant countryside.

Geocache Description:

Stones & Stumps:  The route is about 12.5m/20km long with a good selection of caches along the way.  See Stones & Stumps No.1 for info about the route.

From Stump, continue to the road.  Turn right and along to the old red sandstone of the ex-railway bridge, then the bridleway on the left.  Through the gate, under the transmission pylon and along the lane to the next gate.  Keep right along the fence to the next gate, which you do want to go through despite an absence of signs.  Then it's straight ahead on the east side of the hedge to join the path to Low Dykes.  Keep straight on to the small 'ford' and just before is the cache site.

Watch out for sharp bits on the floor if you kneel down.
