We took a trip to the Salmon River Reservoir and thought it would be a nice place for a cache due to the unusual trees and gorgeous view.
You can park at: N43 31.395 / W075 48.995 and take a short walk to the cache.
This cache is a .30 ammo can with log book, pencil, and your average cache-type trinkets. The FTF prize is a Ty Beanie plush named Seaweed the Otter (we kinda threw this one together in a hurry ;)).
This area was relatively dry when we placed it in September but looks like it has the potential to get swampy in the spring, which will mean mosquitoes of course.
The Salmon River Corridor is blessed with a splendid geographic setting that includes pristine forests, dramatic waterfalls, a Great Lakes shoreline, bucolic countryside, and of course the Salmon River. The river runs east to west from the Tug Hill Plateau to Lake Ontario through each of the communities in the project area and is world-renowned for its salmon fishing.
Congrats to Team D&G Ind. and Team Position Police for FTF!!
