Yoshimune, the eighth Tokugawa Shogun, had cherry blossom trees planted here and opened the area to the public. In 1873, it was designated Japan's first park. Many people visit the park today because it is still renowned for its cherry blossoms. Another feature of the park is Asukayama's three museums which opened in 1998: Asukayama Museum, Shibusawa Memorial Museum and the Paper Museum.
It is easy to access by Keihin Thohoku Line , Toden Arakawa Line and Nanboku Line .Very near Ohji Station .
This place is not good for GPS signals and accuracy.
The park is anytime opened
