Park at the trailhead near the intersection of Prairie and Whitetail Drive and take the access trail up the hill – cache is near the top. You’ll also get a nice view of the prairie from this spot.
As I placed this cache, I was flushed with excitement at the loads of fun people would have hiking in this area and logging their visits. Walking up the hill should be pretty easy for the most part, as the trail is wide and clear. Once you’re at the top there are a number of caches here to locate.

About Whitetail Ridge
Whitetail Ridge has 160 acres of open space (much of it wooded, with a couple of nice prairie areas and some nice hills). Located between the River Falls industrial park and Kilkarney Hills golf club, it offers up some nice hiking trails and off-road cycling trails. Home of the Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KROC: see (visit link) this group has done a fantastic job of improving the riding trails for all off-road enthusiasts. Check out their website for trail maps and club information. Thursday evenings are race night during the summer months. Good parking and trailhead near the corner of Whitetail and Prairie Drive. Please take care while walking the trails and enjoy the scenery!
