Geocache Description:


Located just off the Deer Run Trail in Albert E. Sleeper State Park. The trail gently winds through the forested ancient dune-swale complex located in that area of the park.

Albert E. Sleeper State Park, situated on the northwest tip of Michigan's Thumb, has 723 acres of forest, wetlands, and dunes located on the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron. The northern edge of the park consist of a beautiful sandy beach on the Saginaw Bay shoreline.

A Michigan State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is required for entry. Overnight lodging is available either at one of the 226 campsites or at one of the 14 cabins.
