Geocache Description:

Camo plastic container
Do not park on the roadside use parking lots at the north end of the entry road.

This cache was placed for M&M melted's latest event - Theres a Fungus Among Us at Trout Creek on 9/26/09. We just had to name it this because we could. Shiitake mushrooms have been used as a symbol of longevity in Asia due to their health promoting qualities and have been used medicinally in China for over 6000 years. Shiitake - Japanese name - shii mushroom from the tree that provides the logs it is cultivated from. xianggu - Chinese - fragrant mushroom hed hom - Thai - fragrant mushroom nam huong - Vietnamese - fragrant mushroom. The cache is off of Bayshore trail. Nearest parking is for the canoe/kayak launch. Enjoy the cache and let us know if there are any problems with the coordinates. Congratulations to M&M Melted for the FTF!
