Geocache Description:

A micro cache located not far from the Hern Stones, just off the Pennine Way on Bleaklow.

The Hern Stones are one of the few rock formations walkers of the Pennine Way pass as they head across the open moors from Kinder. They are a distinct marker that you have reached Bleaklow and a popular stop with walkers. The cache should be a straightforward find located not far from the stones, however I keep the difficulty ratings up due to the nature of the terrain. Finding the cache does involve leaving the main path so please ensure you note where it is as even experienced walkers become easily lost up here. Please ensure the top is pushed back on fully to keep out the water, as I try out a slightly different container.

As with all the caches on these moors only experienced hill walkers with the proper equipment should attempt to retrieve the cache and beware of quickly changing weather.

Well done to Langden for taking the FTF honours.
