Geocache Description:

Circuit de 3 Km dans le vallon.
Walk of 3 Km in the valley.

Cette vallée, dont la rivière maigrelette est l’une des rares du Luberon, « est l’un des habitats préhistoriques (Moustérien) les plus riches du midi de la France », suivant une expression de Jean-Paul CLEBERT, écrivain amoureux de la Provence.
Mais par la suite, depuis le néolithique jusqu’au moyen âge, cette vallée restera un refuge sûr pour les populations comme en témoigne le site de Fort Buoux.
Aujourd’hui c’est un lieu de promenade rafraichissant en été, d’escalade et même de restauration à « la ferme Seguin ».
Pour partir à la recherche de la cache, je vous suggère de commencer le circuit au point WP1 en longeant le sentier sur la rive gauche. Pour le retour vous pouvez suivre le sentier sur la rive droite en traversant la rivière au point WP2.
