Geocache Description:

The cache is located very close to the coastal footpath at Bagillt. The footpath in this area has been upgraded by the Flintshire Rangers and provides easy flat walking , also suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs from the recommended parking area at Bettisfield.

The cache is sited close to the outflow of the Milwr Tunnel. Look for the rush of very clear water from a square outlet. Even in the driest weather a huge amount of water cascades from this outlet into the River Dee, This water drains the mine tunnels between Mold and the river.
The Milwr Tunnel runs for 10 miles from Cadole, near Loggerheads, to sea level at Bagillt. Between 1897 and 1957 a labyrinth of over 60 miles of interconnected passages was excavated to drain lead workings in the area.

The best parking place is at N53 16.468 W003 10.665
This is a new car park at Bettisfield - accessed by turning opposite the N turning into Bagillt village, passing under the railway bridge and turning right past Bagillt Car Spares.

The cache is a tablet tube about twice the size of a film canister, placed in a waterproof bag. It contains a log book and pencil.
