Dieser Cache führt Euch zum Bayrischen Atomkraftwerk der Gemeinde Farchant bei Garmisch. - This cache leads you to the Bavarian Nuclear Power Plant. It is owned by the city of Farchant close to Garmisch.

Unweit von Farchant befindet sich im Wald das Bayrische Atomkraftwerk. Das glaubt Ihr nicht? Dann nichts wie hin! Den Beweis findet Ihr hier auf dem Schild:

Es bleibt allerdings dahingestellt, ob sich der Energiebedarf der Gemeinde Farchant damit längerfristig decken lässt.
Immerhin - ein vielversprechendes Konzept. Und da wir uns in Bayern befinden, darf man an diesem Kraftwerk sogar ohne Schutzanzüge rasten und spielen. Kinder sind explizit willkommen.
Übrigens wurde an alles gedacht. Für den Fall eines Fallouts - der hier hauptsächlich von oben zu erwarten ist - steht eine Schutzhütte mit bester Aussicht auf die gesamte Anlage bereit. Sie darf auch zum Loggen benutzt werden.

Bitte unbedingt wieder gut tarnen. Wir sind zwar bislang nur großen, bimmelnden, vierbeinigen Muggels begegnet (vor Tretminen wird explizit gewarnt!), aber ab und zu werden wohl auch mal welche mit weniger Beinen hier aufkreuzen.
Dieser Cache ist sehr gut mit "Werdenfelser Grenze D65St. Farchanter Hirschberg" (GC1MGXA) und "girls and boys an der Quelle/at the spring" (GC130WP) kombinierbar. Sie liegen alle an einem Weg.

Dieser Cache befindet sich in einem Naturschutzgebiet, in dem der Lebensraum von Tieren und Pflanzen besonderem Schutz unterliegt.
Wir haben das Staatliche Forstamt in Oberammergau kontaktiert und folgende Auskunft bekommen:
In dieser Anlage darf man herumlaufen. Aber außerhalb der Anlage bitte auf den Wegen bleiben.

Close to Farchant you can find the Bavarian Nuclear Power Plant (in German: Bayrisches Atomkraftwerk). You don't believe it? Come and see for yourself:

But the concept is promising. And as we are in Bavaria, it is even allowed to rest and to play at this location. Children are highly welcome.
Everything was well planned. In case of a fallout - probably from above - there's a refuge providing an excellent view to the overall construction.

This Cache is located in a Nature Reserve. It requires to strictly respect the habitats of animals and plants.
We contacted the responsible Forestry Administration in Oberammergau and were given the following advice:
