Please consider walking, public transportation, or riding your bike!

Located near the North Park Village (NPV) Community Gardens run by the North Park Village Garden Club. By vehicle, enter NPV from Pulaski Road just south of Peterson Ave. On foot/bike you can enter the area via Peterson Park (Pulaski Road and Central Park Ave).

You are looking for a white plastic screw-top container about 1 quart in size. Please perform CITO (cache in trash out) if needed; thank you!

The coordinates for the cache are about +/- 20 feet due to tree cover/signal strength.

The entire north park village was once the "Chicago Municipal Tuberculosis Sanitarium." It was built in what was the outskirts of the burgeoning city back in 1911. A village was created to quarantine, treat and house those afflicted with tuberculosis. The buffer of nature was kept to prevent the disease from getting out, heal the patients, and entertain all. Portions were changed into paths, gardens for growing food, fields to play and a pond for recreation. What is now the Administration Building was originally built as their hospital. The building that would become the Nature Center was a dispensary, where those who were able to live independently in cottages would come to get their medication.
