Alright!, FTF goes to Pale
Face Congrats!
Cache is on the way to the cone "Cinder Cone" along the long dusty
6mi washboard road
to Butte Lake and Cinder Cone but well worth the journey! We took
our new Honda Civic in here earlier this year
without any worries, just take you time.
Straightest route is to follow 44/Feather Lake Hwy until you see
the signage for Butte Lake Campground.
We took the day out for a paddle on Butte Lake, what a BEAUTIFUL
lake with many micro beaches for breaks and lunch or
whatever!
The water is turned off for the winter so the nice flush bathrooms
are no longer an option.
The vault toilets today were, well ripe! Campground is a little
open due to recent fires but still would be a great place to
camp.
Wish we had the time to do so today/tonight!
The cache is fully loaded, and follows our campground theme caches
as it is on the way to the campground.
Geobride said its hid too well, we will see
contents; Our ole buddy Abe is there to greet the FTF
and help with the fuel to make the journey :-)
