Close to M22.
This cache is to mark the area where I saw a large mysterious cat. On 8/30/2009 I was northbound on Hwy M-22 and pulled to the side at a dirt road to turn around and head south. While checking traffic to pull a U-turn something moving on my right caught my eye. A large slender cat, at least 100lbs. It was larger than my Weimaraner. It was crossing the side road where I pulled off, coming out of trees and disappeared into heavy brush. What was unusual about this cat was it had a shorter tail.
I was sure, what I saw was a Cougar so I entered my sighting onto"Michigan Cougar Sightings" www.savethecougar.org. If you read the other postings you'll find that there is a second posting in the same county of a Cougar that has a docked tail.
