Geocache Description:

Matt and Jason's Music Cache is a 2 part multi-cache that begins near the bandshell in Sinissippi--so park accordingly. It is a music themed cache so bring music themed swag for a trade.

Matt and Jason were best friends and both died before their time. Their love of music was a common bond. A pair of park benches have been placed near the band shell in memory of them.

The first part of the cache takes you to the park benches. The plaques located there contain the information needed to answer the questions that follow. The benches are right next to each other. Answering the questions will give you the coordinates for ground zero which is also in the park and within walking distance of the benches. The plaques may need to be cleared of snow during the winter but the final cache should be accessible.

Matt's Plaque

A=Last digit of Matt's day of birth
B=Day of Matt's death
C=How many loves did Matt have?

Jason's Plaque

D=Number of digits in Jason's last name
E=Solve the following equation: Year of death - Year of Birth - Day of birth - Month of birth
F=Sum of the digits of Jason's day of birth

Ground Zero: N 42 17.ABC
W 089 03.DEF

The final cache is an ammo box. A little finesse is needed to remove and replace the cache.

While Matt and Jason enjoyed music of all types they particularly enjoyed "jam bands". In honor of that, we placed a Phish CD in the cache for the first to find.

Note: While caches are not allowed at Sinissippi golf course, they are allowed in the park as long as official park stickers are placed on the cache itself. The stickers can be obtained by contacting the park district office.

Edit: Congrats to jeffsmeltzer on the FTF and fishing out the Phish CD.
