Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash just off the A40 a short distance before St Clears. Accessible if you are travelling West towards the Ferry Ports or if you are going Eastbound toward Carmarthen.

I just adore locations like this. It is an 'Old Road to Nowhere', made redundant by the new A40 that whizzes by. Today it is part of the National Cycle Network - Cycle Route #4 and also part of the Celtic Trail.

There is plenty of room to park right alongside the cache. It should be wheelchair accessible as you only have to cross a small patch of grass to be able to reach the cache from chair height. (Please let me know if this is not the case!)

The ethos of this cache that it can provide a resting/meeting place for Travel Bugs that wish to travel to/from Ireland, and to provide them with a place where they can easily hitch a lift with a passing GeoCacher who is travelling there via ferry.

This is an easy stopping place for those who are catching either the Pembroke or Fishguard ferries as the junction where you make up your mind about which ferry you are going to choose is just a few miles down the road at St Clears.

The cache has two compartments for bugs, one for bugs for travel to Ireland and another for bugs for bugs for travel in Wales.

Do not take the marked zip lock bags as they help to further aid identification & keep the bugs dry in the box.

There is also room for some swaps.

For the FTF there is a trophy!

I hope this will provide a service for bugs, I have felt a need for this sort of cache for over a year and it has taken me until now to find just the right spot to hide it!
