BSA T.R.A.I.L. 50 miler. First of two caches hidden along the North Country Trail by the 2009 participants.
Sugar Bay area is part of the Allegheny Reservoir. The North Country Trail system runs through this area. Fantastic hiking trails, with sections for beginner and intermediate backpackers.
This was a great place to comp on our fourth day of backpacking. You can access this cache by land via the NCT, or you can boat into the bay while doing some fishing. Nice shallow beach area for swimming or a picnic! Most restful setting of our trip. Hope that you enjoy the area as much as we did! Please pack in and trash out!
